According to an idea of Prison Superintendent of Kuruwita prison Mr D.R.D. Dassanayake to protect prison inmates and prison officers against New Covid 19 virus, a new sterilization room was installed near the main gate of the remand division. The sterilization room was donated by the Prisoner Welfare Association and the event was held on 2020-05-02 with the participation of Superintendent of Kuruwita Prison Mr D.R.D. Dassanayake, Chief Jailor and the members of the Prisoner Welfare Association.
